The 'only yes is yes' is a new law that the Spanish goverment agreed to create back in October the 7th, 2022. The Spanish goverment is still talking about reforming and changing the law because the political party PSOE wants to change it but Unidas Podemos party doesn't.
The 'only yes is yes' law changes the need of consent before sexual relations take place. Our thoughts on this are that this law is good as for the identification of rapists is concerned. It is safer for women because it has changed the ways of interrogating and treating the cases. But, we don't think that everything of this law is good: the time of sentence has been changed and, in our opinion, it is worse than before. We think that the time of penalty should be increased a bit more than it was before.
